Mr. Burrell served as the Morgan County District Attorney for twenty-four years, retiring from the office in 2011. Following his retirement, he joined Harris, Caddell & Shanks, P.C. of counsel.

Before coming to Morgan County, Bob graduated from the Cumberland School of Law in 1977. Bob finished his undergraduate work at the University of Georgia after his graduation from the public school system in Rome, Georgia, where he was born and raised. His three children were born in Morgan County and finished school in Hartselle.

• The Alabama Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Drivers and the Alabama Attorney General's Office for the highest DUI conviction rate in Alabama (the "Golden Gloves" Award).

He is a Rotarian and a member of the Alabama, Georgia and American Bar Associations. Bob is also a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar.
